Supporting missions and churches is about partnering in God’s work to share the Gospel, strengthen faith, and serve communities. By providing resources, prayer, and encouragement, YLM helps ministries grow, equips leaders, and reaches more people with the hope of Christ—advancing God’s kingdom here and around the world.

Growing God’s Kingdom

Mission is more than a project –it’s a way of life. From local neighborhoods in El Paso to underserved areas in Cd. Juarez, Mexico, we go where God sends us to meet the needs of those without true hope.

What we do through Mission

Reach Across Borders

We partner with pastors, churches, and families in Mexico to share Christ’s love and build up His Church. Whether delivering supplies, helping construct homes and churches, or offering spiritual support, we work hand in hand to grow God’s Kingdom across borders.

Word and Sacrament

We support our partner churches in Mexico by strengthening their Word and Sacrament ministry, ensuring communities are nurtured in faith through the Gospel and the gifts of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Supply resources (Spanish Bibles, Catechisms, etc.) for the faith formation of congregants within partner churches
Encourage the continuation of theological education through resources, scholarships, and mentorship for ordained/commissioned church workers
Assist with the practical resources needed for the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
Celebrate the growth of Christ’s family through partnering churches

Equip and Empower

We invest in the Church and God’s Kingdom by identifying, praying for, and equipping those called to serve. Through mentorship, discipleship, and leadership training, we nurture church workers who share hope, build trust, and transform lives in their communities.

Providing resources and support for the continuation of faith formation and education of church leaders, lay leaders, and congregation members
Working in partnership with the Mexico Lutheran Synod and the LCMS for the purpose of growing and planting churches in El Paso and Northern Mexico.

Minister Locally

Partnering with churches across El Paso, we serve as one body in Christ—bringing the Gospel and the hope of Jesus to those in need, both in our communities and behind prison walls.

Facilitate Lutheran Prison Ministry for local churches by providing resources and coordination to bring the Gospel to men and women at the El Paso Immigration Detention Center
Assist local churches with ministry and outreach efforts through our Adelante Ministries, both music education and Mariachi San Pablo
Work in unity to give members of local churches opportunities for outreach, service, and mission within their communities Volunteer with YLM!
